The world has been turned upside down by the onset of technology and the World Wide Web. In this environment, it is time to rethink business conventions if you really want to drive sales and generate opportunities. By taking an alternative approach to established business truths, attendees will receive some valuable ideas that they will be able to use in their own companies.
Grant talked about the fundamental change to marketing the web has brought about. Where scarcity meant the supplier was king now abumndance means the customer is king. Where before marketing by "shouting" worked now the convential marketing methods (direct mail, telemarketing) are being significantly less effective. Word of Mouth and online marketing is key nowadays.
Rather than tell your prospect what you have to offer you need to establish the context which the customer can relate to. The traditional sales funnel (supect to prospect to customer) is being replaced by a relationship building model.
