NRG Members are primarily from the business services sector:

  • Owners and Directors of local SMEs
  • Professionals from local, regional or national organisations

Typically they face the following challenges:

  • Worried about not generating enough new business
  • Attend networking events but find it hard to build long term relationships
  • Frustrated at not having a sounding board for business problems and ideas
  • Are successful but concerned how to take their business to the next stage
They are:
  • In the business services sector
  • Established in business (54% > 3 years)
  • Has between 2 and 25 employees (73% )
  • Turnover <£1m pa (53% between £50k - £500k pa)
  • joining NRG their main concern was that they weren’t generating enough business (32%)
  • since joining NRG they
    • are establishing a network of close business relationships (80%)
    • value the support and sharing of ideas from NRG members (66%)
    • have become an advocate for other members (64%)
    • are actively collaborating with other NRG members (51%)
  • are advocates for just over three other members
  • regularly visit other NRG groups (56% go to two lunches per month)
  • are getting business through NRG
    • 82% of members > 1 year get £13k pa on average

The survey was completed by 83 members during 12 June – 12 July 2007.
